Multi-tasking: Playtime with a Sneaky Core Workout
I hope everyone is having a great week! If you're running out of ideas to keep your toddler entertained or trying to squeeze in a brief work out for your sanity, here are a few ideas to accomplish both simultaneously:
Not only is playing airplane is a BLAST- it's a silly way to connect with your toddler, keep them entertained, AND sneak in a little core workout. Throw a couple leg raises in there (silly airplane motor noises optional), while playing pretend that you and your child are flying through the sky to the vacation destination of your choice.
(Pretending my stuffed sloth is an actual human)
Bear crawls don't have to be un-BEAR-able (sorry, I had to). Make it into a game! Let your child crawl under you or ride (securely) on your back. Suddenly, it's not just a workout, it's a silly way to get to the kitchen for snack time.
Of course, safety first. Don't try any of these if you feel any discomfort- just wanted to throw a few fun ideas your way!
I hope you guys enjoyed these thoughts or at least got a chuckle out of them!
Sending you all love during this crazy time,
