Hi everyone,
Hope things are staying light in your home this week. We’re here suggesting an (almost) completely mess free art project for you and your baby to try today.
Perfect for kids 1-2 years old or slightly older kids with younger siblings…
We’re going to do some painting with water!
Things really don’t get any simpler than this. Here’s what you’ll need:
A cup of water
a paint brush (Maybe an old make up brush or even just some cotton balls!)
Colored construction paper (other paper works too but it works best on colored paper or news papers!)
If you could get your child focused while sitting in a highchair that might work best to contain water but the kitchen floor works just fine as well, choose your battles.
If things get a little messy don’t worry, its just water!! This might be a good activity to try to get them to engage in while you multitask since unlike regular crayons, water (probably) won’t ruin your couch…
And once the paper starts to dry you can reuse it over and over again for hours (or days) worth of fun.
Give it a try and let us know how things end up! Remember, the more you can engage into these activities, the more engaged your toddler will be!
Even if you sneak away halfway through to put clothes in the dryer…
