Cute Little Colored Construction Paper Rainbow!

Updated: Oct 27, 2020

Happy Hump Day Family!

You're doing it! You're making it through another week of this crazy 2020 year. I hope you've found a moment or multiple moments this week to give yourself a pat on the back for being incredible. Not only are you trying to keep yourself sane, happy, and healthy during this time but you are raising amazing littles. I know this year has seemed like one giant thunderstorm but I personally have to hope there are rainbows coming. So, I've got a cute easy rainbow craft to brighten up you and your little's day! Who doesn't love a rainbow?!

What You'll Need:

  1. Colored Construction Paper (Rainbow Colors: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple)

  2. 2 Cotton Balls

  3. Scissors

  4. Stapler

  5. Ruler

Step 1: Take your red piece of construction paper and go to the shorter end. The length of the short side is 9 inches. Measure 1 inch width and cut, making a red strip. Repeat this same process with all colors of construction paper.

Step 2: Cut your orange, yellow, green, blue and purple strips one inch shorter than the one before them. Red is 9 inches, Orange will be 8 inches, Yellow will be 7 inches, Green will be 6 inches, Blue will be 5 inches, and Purple will be 4 inches.

Step 3: Lay all strips on top of each other, red on the bottom and purple on top. Line up the bottoms of the strips and then staple once.

Step 4: Fan your colored strips over to the other side and line up the bottoms again and staple once.

Step 5: Take your cotton balls and pull them apart to make little clouds. Staple them to each side of your rainbow.

I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your week and keep soaking up the summer!
